Under the Privacy Act you can ask for any information about you in your records that you believe is wrong to be corrected.
To have information in your records corrected, contact whoever provided you with your records and explain what information is incorrect and what it should be.
If the service provider or DSS accepts that there is incorrect information, they can either correct the record or attach a note of amendment (correction) to the record.
