Oranga Tamariki should also have records if they (or an earlier version of Oranga Tamariki, such as Child, Youth and Family) was involved in your being referred to a boot camp , they should have records about your time there.
You could also contact Oranga Tamariki if you are not sure which organisation referred you to a boot camp.

If you were referred to a boot camp by the Youth Court, you may be able to request the court records.

If you were in a Limited Service Volunteer programme, MSD should have records of your time in the programme.
To request records about your time in a Limited Service Volunteer programme:
If you took part in a Service Academy programme, or your school referred you to Life Skills programme, they should have records about this.

If you attended school during your time at the boot camp, the Ministry of Education may have records about your education.
The Ministry of Education may also have records about you if your school referred you to a Service Academy programme or Life Skills programme, and the school no longer holds the records.

If you were referred to a boot camp by the Police, they should have records about this.

If you took part in a Life Skills Programme or 100 Person Leadership Camp, Blue Light will have records about it.
You can request records from Blue Light by emailing them: info@bluelight.co.nz.

Their Privacy Officer will want to see some proof of your identity – for example, your birth certificate or driver licence.
The records will be emailed to you.
You can also contact the Privacy Officer if you find any errors in your records.
