Nga Whaea Atawhai o Aotearoa Sisters of Mercy New Zealand - McAuley Hostel opened 1976 as Hostel for Moreau College. Initially the Sisters of Mercy staffed and managed McAuley Hostel. Later this was staffed and managed by lay staff. Sisters of Mercy were the Proprietor of McAuley Hostel. Only provided staff for the school - didn't manage the school.
