Capacity: 1984: no facilities, 5 private homes. Controlling organisation: Anglican - Methodist Family Care Centre Further information: From History of Social Services in the Methodist Church in NZ document: "The Anglican Diocese in Dunedin and the Dunedin Methodist Mission established the Anglican-Methodist Family Care Centre in the early 1970s. In 1977 the arrangement was formalised in an agreement and registered as an incorporated society. Board membership was half Anglican and half Methodist. The partnership took over some of the emergency services, crisis support and some of the Goodwill Stores operation. "Originally it was totally funded by the churches, however in the 1980s the government started to fund non-government organisations to work with families. The partnership held contracts with the Otago District Health Board, Ministry of Social Development, and Child Youth and Family to provide family based social services. Funding from the churches dropped to 5% of the annual income. The Centre started with two staff members and grew to 47. The partnership between the Diocese and the Mission was mutually dissolved in the early 2000s. The Centre was renamed the Anglican Family Care Centre."
