1965 - Occupational and Training Block: This building provides for educational and industrial training for approx. 60 girls.
1979: Residential home for "emotionally disturbed" girls 13-15 years. Mainly private admissions - some state Wards.
1998: The decision by Catholic Social Service's to close 'Marycrest' also with 32 beds at Te Horo, which had been relinquished by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd will place additional pressure on the department's institutions. The land is now used by 'Makahuri: A Co-Housing Community on the Kāpiti Coast'
