Controlling organisation: Daughters of Our Lady of Compassion (Catholic Third-party provider to State, faith-based Operational period: Opened 1907; Registered 1/2/1929; Date of closure as a Children's Home is unknown - still operates as a retreat and conference centre. 1965: The nursery block provides accommodation for 24 children of the lower age group, 12 of these are under 12 months of age and the remainder are well below school entry age, average 2-3 years old.
