Society of Mary 1911 - current: Trustees for the Society of Mary owned the school and boarding facilities until their transfer to St Bede’s College Trust Board (established 20/09/1972, later renamed St Bede’s College Board of Proprietors).
St Bede’s College Board of Proprietors is proprietor. At integration, governance became the responsibility of the Board of Governors 1/02/1983-30/09/1989. Governed by a Board of Trustees 1/10/1989-present.
The Society of Mary staffed the school with management devolved to Rector 1931-1983. From integration, the Society of Mary offered staff to the school 1983-2001. The Board of Governors/Board of Trustees were responsible for appointment. A lay principal was appointed in 2002.
