ATWC does not hold any records prior to 2000. In most cases, there are no case records (for example, from children's homes, St Mary's home, Hospital or adoption records) but usually records from an admission book, baptism or similar. The records are usually handwritten and often part of a register which requires information about others to be redacted. Adoption records that were held by ATWC are now with Oranga Tamariki
