Registered 9/7/1943. Closes, then re-opens 31/1/49. It is on the 1962 list of registered Children's Homes over which Oranga Tamariki and predecessor agencies had control, responsibility or oversight (in the 31 September 2020 Affidavit of Anita Ngaire Easton for Oranga Tamariki - Ministry for Children to the Abuse in Care Inquiry). Was open in 1966 but is not on 1969 list.
