You can use your overseas form of ID if it is current.
You can use your New Zealand form of ID if it is current, or if it has been expired for up to two years.
The form of ID you use should not have been cancelled, or damaged in a way that makes it hard to read.
If you have filled out a statutory declaration form, you can get it signed by a Justice of the Peace, Court Registrar or lawyer.

If you are using a Proof of Identity form, find someone who can confirm your identity and ask them to fill out and sign a proof of identity form. This person must not be related to you or living at your address, must be at least 18 years old, and must have known you for at least one year.
